Insanity | Week 7
Max Cardio Conditioning
Nutrition/Eating Log

What a way to start a Friday -- flat out, no breaks, max conditioning. That's code for 40 minutes, post-warm up, of crazy cardio till you drop. I did read Tony Horton's (man behind P90X) FaceBook post yesterday (repost of this NYT piece, full text), telling us about several studies in mice/rats showing that those who were made to workout till they were exhausted got the flu more/got it worse/longer/and more died than those who weren't pushed at all. Still, runners polled doing marathons weren't all that sicker than those who didn't workout HARD, so, no definitive link in humans. But...

To me, that means 30 minutes flat-out vs. 45 till-total-dropping/dripping. No problem. Focus on more reps, good form, keeping the abs tight, and letting the last 8-10 minutes drop off to keep myself just short of exhaustion.

At least, that's how I rationalize it. Makes sense. Will tack on a PAIR of Month 2's of Insanity. Yeah. So, nearing 1/2 way through month 2 now, will continue, and do a second. Bringing it/pushing it.
