REVIEW:
Your Android phone offers some truly useful built-in features. Live wallpapers isn’t one of them. That is to say, these fun, colorful “show-off” backgrounds that you can apply to your phone’s background don’t do much of anything besides, well, give you something to stare at while browsing through your home screens.

That’s why I was tickled to get my hands on Pixel Zombies Live Wallpaper this week. Finally, a developer who gets me – I’m a huge fan of zombie games (so long as I’m well-armed) and have a certain weakness for unique apps that turn up the fun quotient a few notches on my DROID.

After installing the wallpaper (and making sure live wallpapers are turned on in your Settings), Pixel Zombies turns your home screens into a battleground for blue zombie-killers to take out red zombies, while green civilians run for cover anywhere they can. Watch as the killers zap the zombies, or the zombies get their paws on some brain SPAM from the civis.

Feeling guilty about the zombies winning the day? Double-tap the screen to drop a tactical nuke. It’s the only way to be sure that they’re all dead. (Undead?)

For less than the cost of a cup of coffee, Pixel Zombies is a guilty pleasure that won’t amp you up on caffeine. But it will increase the cool factor of your phone, and give you something to show off to your friends.
