Monday: Made it to Washington yesterday afternoon, and took the metro over to Doug and Jo's to meet -- Doug Jr. The little guy is too cute for words, Mom and Dad are doing well, and the new nursery (complete w/Grandma Kinyon quilt) is perfect. Little Doug is in great, great hands, and it was a real treat to see him so soon after coming into the world. I get a huge smile thinking of holding such a precious gift -- hard to put into words. So, so great!

Rocked Road Warrior this morning, and proceeded, with 16 minutes to go, to completely snap my crazy-hard green band. Yeeouch. No physical damage, but I'm not happy about being sans-resistance for the speed round... Ahh well, will seek out the hotel weight room and see about snagging some free weights for my Wed. workout.

Off to NECC at 9 for our booth meeting, then to the National Mall to shoot some standups at some point. Couldn't make it to NECC? Login to our new products (password welcome) via our special landing page.

Tue & Wed: It's been a very, very good stretch of days here in Washington. Many current users and interested educators, librarians, and tech folks stopping by to check out 1) What ProQuest does/is and 2) once they find out about our top-quality information and teaching/learning tools, they want it in their school/library.

A few more hours of booth duty, then off to Doug and Jo's home and lil' Doug Jr. till Deb and Will show up with the van from N.C. -- the it's a quick visit then up to PA for a few days.
