STS-133 Space Shuttle Discovery Launch Trip @NASA KSC
Or an expensive lesson in enjoying the trip, versus the destination...

Deb surprised me a few weeks back with a planned trip down to see Space Shuttle Discovery take off on STS-133, it's 39th and final mission in my 39th and... current year. ;)

After changing our hotel reservation from a backwater hotel two hours from the launch site to a beachfront spot (El Caribe!) at Daytona Beach, what ensued was a little less than a week of NASA Tweets telling us there were electrical problems and leaks. Finally, today, a scrub -- postponed.

Till November 30th. My 40th birthday. At 4:30 a.m., give or take.

Discovery, you're quite the tease. With tickets in hand to the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) visitors complex to watch it whenever it happens, we'll be back. Planning on it!
