Insanity | Week 6
Max Interval Circuit
Nutrition/Eating Log
My recovery week was full of... recovery. The daily workout was sweaty-good but not overly intense, and my relaxation this weekend (esp. at the fair, see below) was total. Relaxed body and... stomach. State Fair foodie win, lots to choose from, the perfect reward for super hard work. A day to kick back, loosen the belt a little, and let it fly.
So it was only fitting to kick off the second month of Insanity with some... true insanity. Jimmy Hayes Nelson in the back row, not for recovery this time, but a rockin' 60 minutes of intensity I haven't ever experienced. Ever. Nearly packed it in w/40 minutes to go; then 30 mins; then... darn it, push, push. Made it. So good.
New moves, some crazy, some just plain sweaty-combo-good, and am feeling pretty darn wobbly. Maxed it out. An excellent start to a crazy month of Insanity Round One ending. That's the spirit.
And for anyone else who's done this workout, no... I did *not* add the optional breakdance spin/jump up/nearly knock out my workout companion at the very end for the anti-girl-impressed-lose. Too NYC/funny!
Insanity & P90X: Take Action!
Jimmy Hays Nelson is a Beachbody Coach. He's done P90X (is doing Insanity!) and worked with Tony Horton, the inventor and host of the P90 workouts. Let Jimmy inspire you like he's inspired me! (2006 vs. 2009 photo P90X review proof.) Buy your copy of the P90X DVDs, then sign up (free!) to get Jimmy as your personal BB Coach. Bolster your food plan by tracking your calories with fitday.com (guys, 2,000 cals a day), and consider adding Shakeology to your daily food intake -- it's like going to the salad bar with five plates. If you're already a P90X user, take the next step and be a coach with Jimmy's help. Keep pushing play, bring it, A+ P90X review!

Food: Yums and... Acks
North Carolina State Fair 2009

Paramedics are standing by... take your best shot NC State Fair!

Bloomin' FAIL. Next...

Do they sell anything... fried? Maybe? Yea.

Ok William, a deep fried Milky Way. Excellent start. Warm caramel in that shell? Perfect. 5 out of 5.

Some chocolate covered bacon for Tim, and a chocolate covered slice of Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake for William. Ohh yea, both very, very tasty.

2009 Depression Dollar Bear got his Wall Street bonus. Did you? Pay $3 X 5 tries, take him home and hold him tight and find out. ;)

Yea, fried Mac and Chesse. For the calorie win.

Hmmm... Think we'll "walk away" from this nutty ice cream...

Fried Dough. Nice.

It's full of.. fried!

Fried chicken fingers anyone?

Wonder if they have any sausage products?

Sugar Castle!

Shiny.

Wonder of they'd deep fry the napkins for us?

Fried Pickles. Not bad... with a beer. Tyler's Taproom does this as well.
